The Doctor has found a new travelling companion in Belinda Chandra, played by Varada Sethu.
Varada was last seen in the Season 1 episode Boom as Mandy Flynn. Do both characters know each other? Perhaps it’s another case where in Season 1 Susan Twist played multiple characters. Anything is possible with Doctor Who!
Varada is otherwise known for her roles in Andor (as Cinta Kaz), Jurassic Park: Dominion and Now You See Me 2.
Varada had a great performance in season 1, and I am not expecting any less thing in season 2 where she is going to play the role of Belinda. So, fingers crossed.
This is something worth waiting for in the role of Varada Sethu as Belinda Chandra in Doctor Who. After all, this lady has branched out into some remarkable roles. I enjoyed the connections between her characters in the different episodes, particularly in the case of Susan Twist, who has a reputation for taking on multiple roles.
