At the end of last year I ran an exciting project called Forum Island. I thought I would share some of the images I made for that project here.
Forum Island was your go-to hub for administrators and webmasters to connect, collaborate, and grow their forums and blogs. Exploring a range of services, engaging in insightful administration and webmaster discussions, and diving into some exciting battles and exchanges—all within a welcoming and vibrant community.

The site has since been sold to Virtual Streams Rock Club
I was very impressed with the forum. Sadly, it was sold, but I am sure you or whoever was in charge had a reason they felt made sense. Anyway, no offense, but it seems like too much selling of forums and termination of forums exist. It seems like nobody wants to go thru with a project for the long haul. I mean, it takes time to see something wonderful and stuff that is wonderful in the start, well, wouldn’t it be nice to see it get even bigger?
Now, myself, I am a hypocrite in regard to this stuff. I have been thru so many projects that didn’t go thru. In fact, I would say it would be all of them, but it does give me perspective on why I feel like there is too much of what I mentioned.
I was briefly on this forum which I enjoyed but unfortunately it was gone when I wanted to use it again. I later heard whom it was sold to.
I always like seeing new admin forums pop up. They can be a lot of fun and obviously it’s my kind of topic. However, if you’re looking to make money, sometimes it’s best to sell.
Forum Island is a good name. I like solid names for websites that are powerful and not too complicated. It’s kind of the idea that goes along with music group and sports team names. Anyway, I’d say the name “Forum Island” might be worth a lot. I wonder if the owner of the forum is considering selling it, but, myself, I’m not interested in buying domain names at the moment.
